Qualcomm releases first-generation Snapdragon 4: 6nm process

So far, Qualcomm has entered a new naming system.

Compared with several big brothers, the improvement of the Snapdragon 4 Gen1 is not large, but the manufacturing process has been upgraded from the Snapdragon 480 8nm LPP to the new 6nm - I don't say who is the OEM, it is estimated to be Samsung, after all, the cost is low, this is An entry-level platform is more concerned about cost.

The CPU part is still a combination of 2 large and 6 small, in which the large core is upgraded from A76 to A78 for the first time, but the core frequency remains at 2.0GHz, and the six A55 cores are still 1.8GHz. Officially, the performance is improved by about 15%.

The GPU is also simply called Adreno, only to say a performance boost of up to 10%, and by convention no more specifics.

In terms of photography, it still supports three ISPs. For the first time, it supports 100 million-level cameras. A single camera has been increased from 64 million pixels to a maximum of 108 million pixels, or 32 million pixels + ZSL (zero shutter delay), 25 million + 13 million dual cameras, 13 million pixels. All three cameras have also joined the ZSL.

The Bluetooth version of the FastConnect 6200 wireless module has been upgraded from 5.1 to 5.2, and other basic changes have not changed. It is still LPDDR4X-2133 memory, Wi-Fi 5 2x2 wireless network, AI engine, Snapdragon X51 integrated baseband - 4G download 800Mbps, upload 210Mbps, 5G plus millimeter wave download 2500Mbps, upload 900Mbps.

Snapdragon 4 Gen1-based terminals will start shipping in the third quarter of this year, and the first models, including the iQOO Z6 Lite, will be launched in India.
