Microsoft Edge 105 version upgrade causes the browser to fail to start the solution

Recently, Microsoft pushed the 105 version update of the Edge browser, but some users found that after the updated version, there was a vicious problem that the browser "strikes" and cannot be started.

For now, Microsoft Edge general manager Sean Lyndersay has acknowledged the issue, saying that the issue is due to an obsolete group policy and will be fully fixed in the next stable release.

For users who have already encountered this problem, Sean Lyndersay has given a temporary solution, the user only needs to modify the registry to solve the problem.

The specific operations are as follows:

1. Press and hold Windows key + R at the same time, enter regedit and press Enter;

2. Through the navigation bar of the registry window, navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge" and delete the "MetricsReportingEnabled" key.

3. Repeat the steps of navigating to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\ Edge" to solve the problem.
