Win10 LTSC released KB5016690 update : Resolve shutdown bugs

For many users of Win10 LTSC or Server 2019, shutting down or restarting the computer has been a challenging task for some time.

Today, Microsoft officially pushed the KB5016690 cumulative update for Win10 LTSC/Server 2019, which finally fixed the problem of "0x1E" error that might occur when users shut down or restart the system.

In addition to this annoying bug, this update fixes a large number of bugs and makes system optimizations, as follows.

-Enhances Microsoft Defender for Endpoint's ability to identify and block ransomware and advanced attacks.

-Resolves an issue that caused ServerAssignedConfigurations to be empty in some full configuration scenarios.

-Resolves an issue that prevented virtualized App-V Microsoft Office applications from opening or caused them to stop working.

-Resolved an issue that caused false positives when running scripts when opening Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC). This could cause AppLocker events 8029, 8028, or 8037 to appear in the log when they should not.

-Resolved an issue that caused the Policy Result Set tool (Rsop.msc) to stop working when processing 1,000 or more File System security settings.

-Resolved an issue that caused the Settings application to stop working on server domain controllers (DCs) when accessing the Privacy > Activity History page.

-Resolved an issue that caused clients to have long delays in obtaining Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) addresses in IPv6 environments.

-Addressed an issue that could cause Remote Desktop Session Licensing to display a 60-minute disconnect warning after reconnecting.

-Addressed an issue that caused RODC to restart unexpectedly.

-Addresses an issue that could cause cldflt.sys to reference invalid memory under contention conditions.
