Moto global debut Mediatek Dimensity 1050

August 19 news, Motorola will soon release moto edge 2022, the machine world's first MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chip.

It is reported that the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chip based on TSMC 6nm process to build, positioning mid-range.

This chip consists of 4 Cortex A78 cores and 4 Cortex A55 cores, the same CPU architecture as the Tiangui 8000, like a "youthful version of the Dimensity 8000".

The difference is that the main frequency of Dimensity 8000 Cortex A78 core is 2.75GHz and the main frequency of Cortex A55 core is 2.0GHz.

While the Dimensity1050 Cortex A78 large core is 2.5GHz and the Cortex A55 small core is 2.0GHz.

GPU, Dimensity 1050 integrated Mali-G610 MC3, compared to the Dimensity 8000 series is much inferior. PS: Dimensity 8100 and Dimensity 8000 are ARM Mali-G610 MP6, that is, 6-core GPU.

In addition, the Dimensity 1050 supports Sub-6GHz and millimeter wave 5G full-band networks, LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory.

What's more, the Dimensity 1050 integrates Wi-Fi 6E (2x2 MIMO) to take full advantage of the high energy efficiency. As a new generation standard, Wi-Fi 6E , which supports three frequency bands (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz), provides users with faster and lower latency network connectivity.

Notably, the Dimensity 1050 is equipped with MediaTek APU 550, which upgrades the efficiency and functionality of computer vision (CV) operations. Further optimization of multitasking scheduling strategy brings lower latency and higher power efficiency for AI tasks.

In addition to the standard INT8 and INT16 instructions, the APU 550 supports processing FP16 for high precision computing.
