LibreOffice 7.4 released with first-time support for WebP

LibreOffice 7.4 was released today as the latest major update to the open source, cross-platform office suite. For the first time, this leading free software office suite now begins to support WebP images and features a variety of improvements to its various components. Many UI/UX improvements have also been made in this release.

LibreOffice Writer introduces new typesetting settings, Calc spreadsheet software now supports up to 16,384 columns, usher performance optimization for Calc, support for WebP image import/export support, improved text layout performance for PDF export and other scenarios, Microsoft PPTX import/export enhancements, and much more.
