Win11 lagging reason found: 22H2 version will be fixed

Since the introduction of Win11, there have been frequent feedbacks about its abnormal CPU usage, causing system lag, and although Microsoft has repeatedly said to fix it, it has been slow to completely solve the problem.

Recently, Win11 launched the KB5016700 patch for Beta preview version, which finally found the "culprit" of the lag and solved the problem.

It is reported that the main reason for the abnormal CPU occupation is the process "sihost.exe".

The process is one of the core components of Windows, used to support the start menu, taskbar and operating system and other important graphical elements, including transparency, including some of the screen effects also need sihost.exe support.

In Win11, sihost.exe may occupy a large amount of CPU in some specific cases, which may lead to abnormal CPU usage and computer lag.

Currently, the KB5016700 patch is still in the testing phase, and official users will get this fix in version 22H2.
