Confidence in the iPhone 14: Apple has additional parts orders

According to DigiTimes, Apple has now placed additional orders for parts for the iPhone 14 series, hoping to take advantage of the low sales of Android camp phones to further expand the market.

In recent months, Android phone sales have gradually gone down. According to Canalys data, global smartphone shipments fell 9% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2022, with Chinese manufacturers Xiaomi, OPPO and Vivo's market share falling to 14%, 10% and 9%, respectively.

In stark contrast, Apple grew 3% year-on-year, expanding its market share to 17%. Among them, the iPhone 13 remains the world's best-selling smartphone model.

Apple is expected to launch the new iPhone 14 series in September this year, and the lineup will include four models, including two basic versions and two Pro versions. The Pro version will cut off the bangs for the first time and use a perforated full-screen, with a heavy increase in screen-to-body ratio, and is Apple's first major frontal shape change in five years.

In addition, Apple also expects iPhone 14 sales to be higher than the iPhone 13 series in the early days of the market, which is the main reason for Apple to add iPhone 14 series parts.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that in the 5G phone market, there is no Huawei to compete head-to-head with Apple, which now dominates almost the entire high-end smartphone market in China.
