A large number of websites stopped supporting Firefox

Firefox, once one of the top three browsers alongside Chrome and Edge (IE), has had a rough time lately.

Japan's NHK has announced that its video platform NHK+ has officially stopped supporting Firefox, suggesting users use the latest versions of Chrome, Edge or other browsers.

Apple's business site, business.apple.com, had previously excluded Firefox from support, prompting a pop-up saying "Your browser is not supported."

In addition, a number of websites have stopped supporting Firefox.

Currently, Firefox users can skip web browser restrictions by changing their browser's User Agent (UA).

As the number of sites that stop supporting Firefox increases, the browser, which has inherited netscape's legacy, is likely to suffer a gradual loss of users and fade out of sight of mainstream users.
