Apple releases new beta version of iOS 15.6

Apple today released the fifth developer beta of iOS 15.6, iPadOS 15.6, and macOS Monterey 12.5, two weeks after the last beta release. Now that iOS 16 is out in beta, all eyes are on it, right?

After five beta versions, iOS 15.6 still has no new features, and Apple is still working on performance improvements and bug fixes.

Apple also needs to work on some of its older operating systems before it can release new ones, and today they're releasing the fourth beta of iOS 15.6, which is mostly about fixing bugs.

From the feedback of some older iPhone users, iOS 15.6 runs pretty well, at least smoothly.

If nothing else, iOS 15.6 will be the last update to iOS 15 once iOS 16 is released, so from that perspective, apple won't be adding new features, just bug fixes and performance improvements.
