Ryzen 7000 launches this fall: The industry’s first 5nm PC processor core with a 15% single-thread performance boost

While there is no SKU name or release date for the Ryzen 7000 series, AMD will unveil the next generation of mainstream desktops as well as the X670E, X670, and B650 motherboards at tomorrow's Computex. AMD reiterated that its Ryzen 7000 series will support PCIe Gen5 standards as well as DDR5 memory technology.

The LGA1718 socket will retain compatibility with the AM4 radiator. In addition, rumors about the high-power TDP SKU have been confirmed. The next generation AM5 socket will support up to 170W of power, however, this does not specifically mention the Ryzen 7000 situation.

In terms of performance, AMD claims that its Zen4 core architecture will provide over a 15% single-threaded boost (unfortunately, it's not clear to whom), with 2 times the level 2 cache per core (1MB) and a maximum boost of over 5GHz.

AMD also revealed that there are two 5-nanometer Zen4 core chips and a 6-nanometer I/O under the heat sink. AMD also confirmed that its Zen4 desktop CPU will feature integrated RDNA2 graphics. The new desktop Ryzen 7000 series is officially slated for launch "this fall," but the exact date is still unclear.
