Redmi K40S unboxing

Recently, in addition to the new generation Redmi K50, Redmi also released an upgraded version of the Redmi K40S, which is claimed to have four major upgrades, involving appearance, camera, heat dissipation, and fast charging.

The Redmi K40S has been changed from the rounded look of the K40 to the trendy small-edge design, which is more rigid and sharp, weighs 1 gram less, and is 0.1mm thinner. The K40S is also available in two new colorways, Silver Trace and Phantom Green, in addition to the original Bright Black and Phantom Blue.

The phone features a 6.67-inch full-screen with a straight design, 2400x1080 resolution, peak brightness of up to 1300 nits, and support for MEMC dynamic picture quality compensation for low frame rate video content that can interpolate frames up to 60fps.

In terms of performance, the Snapdragon 870 processor + full-blooded LPDDR5 memory + UFS 3.1 flash memory "iron triangle" to support. The cooling is upgraded from liquid-cooled copper tubes to 3112 square millimeters VC liquid-cooled cooling, an increase of 400% in area, and supports 120 fps mode for well-known MOBA games.

Redmi K40S adopts 48MP main camera + 8MP super wide angle + 2MP macro lens combination, the main camera supports OIS optical stabilization.

Fast charging is also doubled from 33W to 67W, and charging time is shortened from 52 minutes to 38 minutes.

Redmi K40S is available in four configuration versions, 6+128GB for 1799 RMB, 8+128GB for 1999 RMB, 8+256GB for 2199 RMB and 12+256GB for 2399 RMB.
