According to the usual practice, Apple's stocking cycle will start production quite a long time in advance, and according to the latest news from Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple's breaking news brother, this year's iPhone 14 series will adopt an unprecedented dual-core strategy.

Among them, the iPhone 14 standard version of the two models will maintain the current iPhone 13 A15 chip, while the iPhone 14 Pro will be upgraded to A16 chip.

In this regard, the digital blogger @MobileChipMasters said that Apple has been preparing for the iPhone 14 series for chip stocking, ready to produce 50 million of A16 chips and 50 million of A15 chips, a total of 100 million at present.

In fact, in December last year, @MobileChipDude revealed that not all iPhone 14 series models will be upgraded to the A16 processor, and that iPhone 14 will continue to use the A15 chip from iPhone 13.

He also said that the 4nm A16 chip 2022 availability is only one-third of the A15 processor in 2021, indicating that only one of the iPhone 14 will use the A16 processor. Among them, the A16 processor Apple internal code name Crete, A15 processor code name Ellis.

In addition, due to the adoption of a completely different product strategy, this year's iPhone will also see a change in naming. The Pro version will be named iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the non-Pro version will be named iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max.

The iPhone 14 mini will completely disappear and be replaced by an enlarged version of the iPhone 14 Max, whose size should remain the same as the iPhone 14 Pro Max, but in the exact same configuration as the iPhone 14 standard version, which is the first time Apple has launched a low-cost version of a large-screen phone.
